I love design.
Whether it is on print, website, billboards or whatever the format it is, I love pretty much any kind of design. That includes designs on a bottle. Usually when discussing bottle design it’s usually wine bottles. But recently I’ve come across another bottle design that wasn’t wine. The beverage is called Dry Soda. The company HQ is based in Seattle and it calls itself the “modern alternative in refreshment – a line of all-natural sodas, flavored with fruit, flower and herb extracts and sweetened with a small amount of pure cane sugar.”

The design is very simple and minimalistic. It’s my type of design. It has won a bunch of awards and I can see why. The design is a clear bottle with a simple Dry logo on the side with the description of the flavor. It is definitely a package design that makes you take a double take. At least it did for me. The design works because without ever seeing a commercial or any kind of publicity at least where I’m living at, it just makes you want to try it. That is how powerful package design can be. It’s part of selling the product and if done well, it can go a long way. So here’s to you Dry Soda, you won design points in my books for your awesome design.
