    321 Event

    Friday, March 26th, 2010

321 Event is an event where a number of local artists came to display their talents and their business to the area of Irvine, CA.  Julie and I had come up with this concept to partner up with friends with small businesses to showcase what our individual businesses were all about.  There was my wife Chef Julie Yoon doing demonstration for her cooking classes, Easter Ahn Design, selling her beautiful handcrafted jewelries, White Blossom, the wedding and event planner planning the event, Bloomology the clay floral art & classes and Jenny Park Photography.  I was also displayed as Joe Yoon Studios for design and photography.  I helped out with all the design for the event including the informational website.  I, of course, took photos of the event and their displays, so here they are…

Joe Yoon Studios designed the flyer.

The display of Chef Julie’s business cards.  Joe Yoon Studios did her new business cards!

If you make it, they will come…

Batch 2 of new audience.  What a beautiful kitchen!  Yes, Julie wanted to take the kitchen home with her.

What a beautiful sign to welcome people in. =)

And Bloomology’s display.  These are a work of art!

Our first event and the turnout of the event was a success.  We hope to continue the event and bringing in more vendors for our future date!  If you like to be involved in the future, you may contact me at joe@joeyoonstudios.com.

    Kara Yoon First Birthday

    Thursday, March 25th, 2010

This is Kara Yoon’s first birthday party and Julie and I went to Chicago to not only celebrate this wonderful event but to photograph the event as well.  Julie participated in this event as well as she made the cupcakes with pink frosting.  It was so delicious and everyone couldn’t get enough of it.  The event was coordinated and decorated by just the little things.

Beautiful and delicious cupcakes were provided by Chef Julie Yoon.

    She is so cute!

The first birthday party in Korean tradition is a big deal and as part of the tradition, the birthday child picks an object representing their future.  Kara picked the golf ball representing achievements in sports.  Kara Yoon, future champion of LPGA?

Kara looks a little puzzled. =)

    Happy Birthday Kara!

Dinner for 10 – Pasta Pasta

    Friday, July 31st, 2009

I try to capture moments that reflect the characteristics of the event.  This is another Dinner for 10 event that my wife hosted at our place.  This is a private cooking lesson with a group of Easter’s friends that she personally arranged.  It was a great event and everyone had a great time!  Everyone came out of it with little bit of more knowledge of cooking skills and of course a full and satisfied stomach.  Once again, everyone got involved and participated with the outcome of the meal.  It was awesome to have a great dinner party where everyone just chilled out afterward and just hung out with bunch of friends!  It was such a great night!  What more can you ask for?
