    Disney Concert Hall

    Thursday, July 15th, 2010

Living in Orange County, driving up to LA needs to have purpose because fighting the infamous LA traffic is a killer.  On Monday, Julie had the opportunity to do a meal service and we headed up to LA.  After finishing, we decided to stick around LA to avoid the rush hour traffic and have dinner with one of our friend.  A place we stopped by was the famous Walt Disney Concert Hall.  It was the first time I seen this place in person.  I say “I” because we were running late in meeting our friend, so we decided that I go around quickly and take some photos of this beautiful building.  She didn’t really get to see it except from the street in the car. =)  I told her when we have more time, we’ll come back and enjoy this place together.

The Concert Hall up close was amazing.  I’ve seen many wedding photographers/engaged couples use this place for their engagement shoot and I always thought the architecture of this building was incredible.   The timing was perfect in arriving to this place because as the sun was going down, it was giving the building a soft light with warm colors.  The color of the setting sun brought out the warm texture of the reflective building.  I tried bring out the beauty of this incredible architect with my photography.

One Year Anniversary trip to NorCal

    Friday, July 17th, 2009

Celebrate good times, C’mon!  It’s our one year anniversary of being married on July 5th!  We postponed our trip to last weekend and to celebrate we head toward the northern part of California.  It was Julie’s only second time in that part of the country and so we thought it was a good time to do it while watching our wallets at the same time.  To get to northern California, we went through Pacific Coast Hwy along the coast of beautiful California overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  I had done this drive before but it was first for Julie and I feel like it’s something everybody should do it at least once in their lifetime.  In my opinion, it’s the best stretch of road in America and I’ve driven through A LOT if not most of the American highway system, at least the major ones.

That drive took us most of the day to get to San Francisco.  Here are my collage from our drive on PCH.  I think I took most, if not all of the beautiful scenery on the hwy.

After getting to San Francisco, we spent a day doing the touristy stuff.  San Francisco is one of the coolest cities in America and always enjoy just walking and taking photos of the beautiful city.  It definitely has it’s own characteristic that makes San Francisco, well San Francisco.  From their sourdough bread (something Julie was looking the most forward to) to their huge Chinatown to their beautiful city landscape with their Golden Gate Bridge and of course The Rock, Alcatraz.

And to finish off our trip, we headed to the world famous Napa Valley!  It was my first experience while it was second time for Julie.  The view was just incredible and definitely a piece of Tustin in America.  We had our tour of Robert Mondavi Winery and experienced some high-quality wine!  I must admit that we learned a lot about wine and wine-making since we’re both not real wine drinkers but it was worth the experience.

We chilled out in Sonoma’s small town before driving 7 hours back home to Orange County.  That drive was a killer after a full day in Napa but we made it safe and thoroughly enjoyed our short but sweet first anniversary of our wonderful marriage. =) HAPPY ONE YEAR!!

    Honeymoon in Maui

    Monday, May 25th, 2009

These are our honeymoon photos that I took in Maui.  As I’m looking at these, I can’t believe we are a month or so short of our One Year Anniversary and our beautiful trip to Maui.  It is the most expensive trip that I’ve been part of and the most memorial one at that.  It was a great way to start off our marriage and can’t wait to see where God will lead us! =)
